What song from high school do you most want to hear at the reunion?:
"Night Moves" or "Old Time Rock and Roll" by Bob Seger. Anything by Boston or Foreigner. "Wonderful Tonight" by Clapton. "Tonight's the Night" or "I Was Only Joking" by Rod Stewart. Of course, anything from the Saturday Night Fever, Rumours, or Hotel California albums....
From Rob:
Things are going well with the Elliott clan these days.  My wife and i live in Germantown, MD with our two young boys (5 year old John, and 3 year old Mark).  The kids really keep us jumping, as you might guess, but I'm enjoying every moment of it.....well, maybe not every moment....but, almost every moment.

Skiing is still my favorite recreational activity, and I've always hoped the kids would like it too.  This past winter, we took both the kids skiing for the first time, and they both really took to it.   Naturally, dad was quite happy about that.  They both were up on the top of the mountain during their first lesson.  I'm really looking forward to planning some family ski trips in the future.

My parents are doing well and still living in the home where I grew up in Pinewood Lake.  It's kinda cool to visit the old stomping grounds periodically, although the area has really changed over the years.

After 18 years with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, I guess that I've found a permanent home.  I'm really loving it, and looking for a new job has not even crossed my mind since I started working there in 1990.  In 2007, the NRC sent me down to Capitol Hill on a one year fellowship.  I spent the whole year working on the personal staff of Senator Akaka from Hawaii.  Working in the Senate was a truly awesome experience, and one that I will certainly never forget.

I am really looking forward to seeing everyone at the reunion (and future reunions for that matter).  For those who can't attend this time, please drop a note once and awhile, especially when you're gonna be in town.  I'm always up for a mini-reunion when old friends are visiting the area.

What song from high school do you most want to hear at the reunion?:
Eagles - Life in the Fast Lane
From Ginny:

30 years is hard to believe!
I still live in Richmond.  After more than 17 years with same engineering firm, I made a change last year.  Still doing highway design and project management but from a different desk.  Joined a small employee-owned firm.
So far so good.  My kids are growing much too fast for me - my son, Christian is 16 and my daughter, Hannah is 14.  Both in high school now.  My daughter keeps me running with her 8th year of competitive cheering.  The same stuff the college teams do on ESPN.

Picture is me and my daughter someplace after a Disney World ride this past spring.

Am trying my best to make the Saturday event.  Hope to see everyone then.

Everything from the 1970's
From Cheryl:
Hi Everyone,
This website is so nice! It's wonderful to be able to read about everyone's adventures. I'll look for a recent photo and put that in later.

I'm celebrating having a summer off after teaching year round for four years. I've been teaching full time at Cape Fear Community College plus part time at UNC Wilmington. It has just completely taken over my life.  I have an MBA and I teach intro. to finance, personal finance, small business management, and a variety of other courses that get assigned when there is a need, and at UNCW I teach business stats (everyone's most hated course, but they seem to like me teaching it - the students that is).

So, my list for the summer includes playing outside more;  converting my garage into something closer to a rec room with insulation and air conditioning but still with a workbench; taking a course on wills, trusts, and estate planning; reconnecting with my piano; attending concerts of all sorts; gardening; reading a few books that aren't textbooks; sewing a couple dresses for Mom, myself, and some children's clothes for a charity; coordinating a youth program for an annnual gathering of nine Quaker Meetings plus pre-planning for next summer; and there is a brand new banjo sitting in the corner waiting on my attention.  I'm going to need a vacation from my vacation! I got off a non-profit board and have said "no" at least ten times this past year in anticipation of this summer. I guess I'm supposed to talk about trips to points around the world or something, but honestly my at home entertainments are a relaxing relief at the moment.

Oh, and my Dad and I are getting set up to get on the air as amateur radio technicians (Hams). Dad did this in the early-mid 1960's and I loved the rhythm of the morse code key and the bright green wave signals on his oscilloscope.  My call is KJ4BZY.

Speaking of renewing old interests, I've had to really practice to get to respectable level of hooping (new name for hula hooping) expertise for my youth program thing this summer. It turns out it's all about ab muscles and mine aren't quite as hard as they were at age 10.

I haven't been married and don't have children - wish I did, but I'm happy never-the-less. I have been doing live-in petsitting for a good friend since 1990 and the dogs think I'm mom and it's normal for me to move in when Dad leaves town.  They think that's just the way life is.

I'm still figuring out whether I can get to the reunion or not. It's about a six hour drive for me. I like to play golf, but haven't played much lately so probably won't do that.
