Occupation: Middle School Math Teacher Marital Status: Married No. of Children: 2 What song from high school do you most want to hear at the reunion?: Come Sail Away Comments: My family is still living in Fredericksburg, Virginia. I am teaching high school Algebra 1 and Geometry to middle school students in Stafford, Virginia. Hard to believe that I have been teaching for over 20 years. If my high school math teachers had any idea that I was teaching math they would probably be shocked. My husband, Ed also teaches and coaches football and basketball. We stay pretty busy. Our daughter, Meredtih, just finished her junior year at Christopher Newport University. She is working on a degree in psychology and is planning on becoming an teacher. Our son, Luke, just finished his junior year at Chancellor High School. He plays basketball and works at the Rappahannock Outdoor Education Center in Fredericksburg. I am sorry to miss the reunion this year. I am suppose to go to Georgia for a wedding that weekend. Amy (Drexler) Zauner's oldest daughter is getting married. I hope to make the next reunion to catch up with everyone. I think it is great that we are going to include the classes of '77 and '79. 65 Send This Person a Message |

Occupation: Professor of Law
Website: www.law.ttu.edu/faculty/b - ios/camp/ Marital Status: Married No. of Children: 2 What song from high school do you most want to hear at the reunion?: Anything from Billy Joel, the Cars, Dire Straits, or Pink Floyd. Comments: Hi all, I married 13 years ago, kind of a late start. Consequently, we have built our family through adoption and my kids are now 6 (a boy) and 9 (a girl). They are the most amazing kids, just as I am sure all y'all's kids are...<grin>. I really love teaching and feel very lucky to be getting paid to do what I love. I also get to study interesting things. Right now I am studying virtual worlds. I study worlds like World of Warcraft and Second Life. I don't exactly get to play in them, but it is still pretty cool to find out about them. I hope everyone has a great time at the reunion. I probably won't be able to come because Lubbock's distance from D.C. makes it too expensive for the family to travel there. Cheers, -bryan camp Send This Person a Message |

Occupation: CHP Officer til 2010 then musician Website: www.cdbaby.com/all/jimcor - nwell Marital Status: Married No. of Children: 2 What song from high school do you most want to hear at the reunion?: Old Time Rock and Roll Comments: Hello MVHS Alumni! It sure doesn't seen that long ago since 1978 does it? After graduation, I moved out to the redwood coastline in California, and graduated from Humbodlt State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 1983. I got got married the same year to my current wife Kathy. We have one daughter Christina (born '88) and one son Daniel (born '91). After a few years in the business world, I joined the California Highway Patrol (CHP) in 1986 and plan on retiring from that in 2010 to pursue my true passion: music. I am addicted to the acoustic guitar and have recorded four instrumental CD's with acoustic steel string guitar and mandolin. You can check me out online at CD Baby if you are curious! Some of you may remember me playing with Roger Helton (banjo man) at various functions especially in our Senior Year. I really look forward to reconnecting with my Mount Vernon alumni, I don't get to bump into anyone I knew from High School too often. I hope to see you at the reunions ! Send This Person a Message |

Birthday: January 21, 1960
Occupation: Sr. Systems Engineer Staff Marital Status: Married No. of Children: 4 What song from high school do you most want to hear at the reunion?: Beer Barrel Polka JK, Pure Parie League "Amy", Three Times a Lady. Any John Denver you can lay your hands on. Comments: 30 years, man we are a bunch of old coggers. Just kidding, all of the photos I saw look like people who never aged. My wife and I celebrated our 25 wedding anniversary in 2007, we went to Hawaii (how typical is that) I fell in love with the place. We spent 2 wonderful weeks hiking, kayaking, zip lining, and even had lunch at the bottom of the Kilheau Ika (like eating on a parking lot that needs repair). Our kids are youngest to oldest Dylan 6, Colin 11, Tiffany 17, and Brittany 19. Brittany is in her second year of college, her major is professional science. Tiffany will graduate this year, and has already been accepted at Paul Mitchell Salon School. Colin is a typical 11 year old, kills me all of the time on Halo, and even when I win, I have this feeling he only lets me win so I will continue to play, but hey a victory is a victory. Colin and I have gone panning for Gold, and found some, this year we want to go after Rubies. Dylan is going to be the death of us, I have never seen a kid who could get into so much trouble is such a short time. This last year he had an unfortunate accident while opening a birthday present with a pair of scissor. As a result he has had to have 4 eye surgeries to repair his eye and remove his lens. He has to wear a contact lens in one eye now, but seems to be adjusting well. During all of those surgeries we only had to give him Tylenol once, because his eye was itchy. My mom has moved in with us, after my step father past away last May. She is a blessing to Cindy and I, always helping out with the boys, and keeping us sane. For those of you who did not meet my wife at the reunion #25, well what can I say, she is a remarkable woman. She has a demanding career with LMCO, and is still involved with all of the kids after school activitie, plays, soccer, as well as being active in the church we attend. As for me I am tired after writing about my pride and joy, my family. Sometimes they get on my nerves, sometimes the kids make me want to scream, but I don't know what I would do without them. They are truly the greatest gift God ever gave me. As for the picture, well, who wants to see me anyway, this is my lovely wife of 25 years sitting on a rock in Hawaii, me I am just the fat guy taking the photo, lol. Send This Person a Message |
